How can NavAlert complement my MFD?

NavAlert works alongside modern MFDs and charplotter by sending alerts and monitoring data to the NMEA 2000 network.

If your MFD supports NMEA 2000 alert PGNs, like Garmin MFDs, the alerts will appear directly on the display.

If your MFD does not support NMEA 2000 alert PGNs, NavAlert’s internal buzzer and web interface will inform you about the condition that triggered the alarm. This is especially useful for adding extra alarms to the ones available on the MFD and also provides redundancy if the MFD is turned off or experiences a fault.
